About Us

Christian Royere is a native of Aix en Provence, France and developed a love affair with food at an early age, working the kitchen with his first mentor: his mother. Upon completion of culinary school, he apprenticed under several well-known chefs in the south of France before moving to the United States in 1986, working in several Los Angeles area restaurants such as Le Marmiton, Bistro Garden and Ma Maison.

Following this, Christian opened his own place, Babette's Restaurant, named after his wife. Then in 1996, Christian moved into the catering industry and opened "A Food Affair" catering company in Los Angeles.

Since then, A Food Affair has been hired to oversee a variety of events, ranging from intimate sit down dinners, to large scale affairs of up to 2000 people. Consummate professionals, A Food Affair catering works closely with clients, coordinating every aspect of events with superlative food and ambiance.
